This year I'm very happy to join in the Top 10 of 2013 week hosted by Rachel from Fiktshun, Jamie from Two Chicks On Books and Mindy from Magical Urban Fantasy Reads.
We're gonna start the week right, with our Top 10 Best Books we've read this year. They don't have to have been published this year, but they must have been read this year.
Since there have been so many books and choosing just 10 is gonna be tough, I decided to list here only those that weren't debuts, and then on Wednesday I'll share my Top 10 Debuts of 2013, so I'll have another 10 awesome books that I loved this year.
Best Books I've Read in 2013.
This is one very very tough list to make because I've read so many books I've loved! I might have to add some honorable mentions after the Top 10. And I will be listing the books in the order that I read them throughout the year. I've limited myself to books read & published in 2013.
Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare
Infinityglass by Myra McEntire
Crown of Midnight by Sarah J Maas
The Bitter Kingdom by Rae Carson
The Outside by Laura Bickle
Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell
The Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater
This Song Will Save Your Life by Leila Sales
World After by Susan Ee
These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman & Meagan Spooner
And I'm just gonna add another 10 more books because I'm just missing too many books I've loved this year, dammit it!
Through The Ever Night by Veronica Rossi
Asunder by Jodi Meadows
Sweet Peril by Wendy Higgins
Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi
Star Cursed by Jessica Spotswood
Deception by C.J. Redwine
Earth Girl by Janet Edwards
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
Perfect Ruin by Lauren DeStefano
Parasite by Mira Grant
And some more books I cannot NOT name: Goddess by Josephine Angelini, The Woken Gods by Gwenda Bond, Let The Sky Fall by Shannon Messenger, Gold by Talia Vance, If I Should Die by Amy Plum, Scarlet by Marissa Meyer & Winter Queen by Amber Argyle.
And now I will stop looking at my list or I will start fiddling again with it and adding more books here or there!!
Haha, it seems that you've had a really great reading year! I'm so excited for Perfect Ruin and many other books that you've listed. I hope you have an equally good or even better reading year in 2014 :)ReplyDelete
Thanks Mari! I had the hardest time picking books, I feel like I've been spoiled for choice with so many great books I've read!Delete
I'm seeing Fangirl everywhere! I should probably read it. :D Also still need to read Susan Ee's newest. I just recently finished #1, but I didn't have the time to get World After. :C There are SO many of my wishlist-titles on your list, it's almost driving me insane XDReplyDelete
Hope to see you tomorrow again, but if not: Happy Holidays!
Oh yes, you definitely need to read World After & Fangirl!!! They're brilliant books!Delete
And the TBR list is ever-growing! I'm pretty sure I'll never catch up with mine!
Yay :D Awesome list. <3 Sigh. The Bitter Kingdom. Many of these are on my list as well :)ReplyDelete
Thanks sweetie! It was SO hard to make this list!Delete
Oh man, I look at this amazing list and I realize how behind I am on some series! I've only read Clockwork Angel in the ID series, and i still haven't read Asunder or Unravel Me even though I absolutely adored the first books! So many great books, so little time!ReplyDelete
Fantastic list! :)
Ain't that the truth!Delete
Thank you, Liliana!
Great list! So many amazing books this last year...so hard to limit the #. I didn't join any of these hops but I should have since it looks like a lot of fun. There is always next year :-)ReplyDelete
Thanks Kristen! I would have loved to see your lists, but you are right, there's always next year, and you're pretty busy with the 12 Days of ARC Giveaway!Delete
I'm reading Perfect Ruin soon! And I have not read Clockwork Princess, Unravel Me, or Deception, despite owning them. I loved Fangirl and The Bitter Kingdom and These Broken Stars! Great books :DReplyDelete
Check out my Top Ten post!
Thanks Alyssa! It's always so hard to pick fave books!Delete
Happy Holidays to you too!
Awesome list we have a lot of books in common and I'm reading Crown of Midnight right now! Thanks so much for taking part in the Top 10 of 2013! Looking forward to seeing the rest of your Top 10’s :DReplyDelete
Jaime @ Two Chicks On Books
Thanks Jamie! I thought it'd be fun to take part and it is, though it is even harder than I expected to narrow things down!Delete
I hope you're loving Crown of Midnight, it's a great book, if a bit cruel with the feels on occasion!
I didn't get to Clockwork Princess this year. :( I keep putting it off, but I bet it would've been one of my favorites of the year. You have some really awesome books and authors on your list!ReplyDelete
Thank you, Kaitlin! Clockwork Princess was probably the book that made me the most emotional this year!Delete
This is a great list! So many that I enjoyed on there!ReplyDelete
Thanks Coranne! There were so many good books this year!Delete
