Tell Me Tuesdays #3!!

Tell Me Tuesdays is a meme/feature created by the awesome ladies of Please Feed The Bookworm and La La In The Library where we can share how we choose the book we are currently reading from our TBR pile!
I'm always curious about that, cause as much as I tend to make myself a rough schedule for books to read and the like, I'm quite a mood reader and sometimes I just HAVE to ignore my schedule and read something else!

Murder Most Unladylike by Robin Stevens

"Deepdean School for Girls, 1934. When Daisy Wells and Hazel Wong set up their very own deadly secret detective agency, they struggle to find any truly exciting mysteries to investigate. (Unless you count the case of Lavinia's missing tie. Which they don't, really.)

But then Hazel discovers the Science Mistress, Miss Bell, lying dead in the Gym. She thinks it must all have been a terrible accident - but when she and Daisy return five minutes later, the body has disappeared. Now the girls know a murder must have taken place . . . and there's more than one person at Deepdean with a motive.

Now Hazel and Daisy not only have a murder to solve: they have to prove a murder happened in the first place. Determined to get to the bottom of the crime before the killer strikes again (and before the police can get there first, naturally), Hazel and Daisy must hunt for evidence, spy on their suspects and use all the cunning, scheming and intuition they can muster. But will they succeed? And can their friendship stand the test?"

I first heard about Murder Most Unladylike at The Midnight Garden, where they were revealing the cover for the US edition (in the US it will be titled Murder is Bad Manners and it will come out next year) and when I read what it was about (murder mystery? boarding school? England?) I knew I had to get my hands on the UK edition! Thanks goodness for The Book Depository! So I got it in the mail last week and started it over the weekend, reading just a few chapters here and there cause I couldn't resist it! I completely ignored my TBR pile or my review pile here!

So what are you all guys reading and how and why did you decide to pick up that book? Shiny new ARC? Comfort read? Scheduled for review? Must have new release? Tell me!!

I have never heard of this one, but a boarding school book or one that is set there, always sits well with me!

I am reading Parasite by Mira Grant. I recommend all of her books especially the Newsflesh Trilogy! Blogging and Zombies? What more could you want! :D

Thanks for sharing! :) Never seen this meme before! :)

  4. OMG, thanks for highlighting this! I forgot this one existed and I remember now putting it in my TBR people a long time ago. This one sounds so cute, and I love the murder mystery whodunit aspect in a boarding school for young girls. I must get the UK edition, then! I can't wait that long for the US edition to catch up!

  7. I think Murder Most Ladylike is a much better title! Usually US titles and covers are better, but I really adore this one. I'd have to see the other cover, though. The story sounds interesting too, I think I'll just go ahead and add it to my tbr.

  9. I love it when a book sucks you in enough to make you forget all the other things you "should" be reading. I'm kind of doing that myself, but with a reread. Kate Daniels is my favorite UF series, and book 7 (TWO WEEKS) is the end of the current story arc, so I caved last night and decided to reread the whole series, and I LOVE it. Yeah, my TBR is suffering, but who cares? Not me! LOL.

    1. I'm such a mood reader!! I don't really feel guilty most of the time for skipping the TBR order unless I'm in a massive slump! But it's been quite a while since I've re-read something... maybe I need to allow myself time to do that!

  10. Ooo, I hadn't heard of this before! I do like a good historical fiction novel, though usually not the ones in the 1900s. Sounds good though!
