Lee Westfall has a secret. She can sense the presence of gold in the world around her. Veins deep beneath the earth, pebbles in the river, nuggets dug up from the forest floor. The buzz of gold means warmth and life and home—until everything is ripped away by a man who wants to control her.
Left with nothing, Lee disguises herself as a boy and takes to the trail across the country. Gold was discovered in California, and where else could such a magical girl find herself, find safety?

The whole Girl of Fire and Thorns is fantastic! Best of luck!Delete
I so loved this book Pili! My review goes up tomorrow:) The only major downside to this book is the fact that I'm going to have to wait a year now until I have the next book in my hands. BOO!ReplyDelete
Waiting sucks so much, doesn't it Jenny?? I cannot wait to see if the romance goes on with my ship or what!Delete
I think I'll be looking out for the sequel next year! This book was too slow for me, but then, I had the same problem with the beginning of the Fire and Thorns series!ReplyDelete
Alyssa @ The Eater of Books!
I cannot wait for the sequel, this one was a roadtrip book and the next one will be quiet different I'm sure!Delete
I'm looking forward to reading this book, Faye raved about it as well!ReplyDelete
Don't expect it to be full of break-necking action but it's such a compelling read, it keeps you glued to the page! Hope you'll love it, Jeann!Delete
ISN'T THIS BOOK THE BEST?!?!?! I mean, it wasn't action-paced or anything, it was even slow-paced, but my god, the characters were just so interesting and intriguing and the dynamics were just down-right fantastic. This author is something else, really.ReplyDelete
