Her Secret Inheritance by Jen McConnel
(Isobel Key #2)
Released June 12th 2014
Five years after the trip to Scotland that changed her life, Lou is back in the misty, magical country. But this time, she’s not on vacation. When Brian, her old Highland fling, turns up at the scene of some depressing family business, tension mounts between the former lovers. But dealing with Brian is only part of the problem; something wicked is stirring in Scotland. Lou must use all her strength to handle the increasingly desperate situation, but will she be strong enough to battle both a vengeful ghost and her heart? Lou may have thought that she was finished with the witch Isobel Key, but some secrets can’t stay buried forever.

Ooo, this is the novella, right? I have not read any of this author's books, but I am familiar with her - she is a sweetie! I'll have to look into the Isobel Key series.
ReplyDeleteGreat post, Pili!
Alyssa @ The Eater of Books!
Yep, this is the novella! And yeah, Jen is a sweetheart!
DeleteIs it sad that all it takes is a mention of Scotland and I'm completely sold on this series? I've always had a thing for Scotland, so any books set there are already winners to me! *runs away to check out book one*
ReplyDeleteWe all have our weaknesses, Jenny! And Scotland is an awesome one to have!
DeleteSCOTLAND! We need more books in Scotland... that accent and the Highlander concept (I know it's not here but highlanders are often associated with Scotland, no?) are just heaven. May check this out :)
ReplyDeleteFaye at The Social Potato Reviews
I agree! I loooove the Scottish accent! I went to Edimburgh a few years ago and loved it, cannot wait to go back!
DeleteOoo, tension between old lovers! That sounds intriguing. :D I really like the artwork that you are giving away as well. I definitely have to check out the reviews for the book when they start coming in, thanks for featuring it today, Pili! I may not have known about it otherwise.
ReplyDeleteWendy @ The Midnight Garden
I reviewed it next week too, Wendy!
DeleteThe artwork is really pretty, isn't it?
