Ever Designs!!

Last Sunday I finally went to see Eclipse, the third Twilight movie, and I have to say I liked it a lot! I had waited a bit cause I wanted to avoid the crowds, and the screaming teenager Twi-hards... For New Moon I went on Saturday evening of release week, and it was too crowded for my taste AND there were too many screaming teenagers for my taste... But this time, luckily I avoided all that!

And curiously enough, on Monday itself I got my new gorgeous bracelet from Ever Designs! You might be wondering why I might think that curious. Well, Noriane, Ever Designs' owner & designer is also a Twilight fan, and she has created many amazing jewellry pieces inspired in the Twilight books, and I own quite a few of them from when Noriane sold in Etsy under the name "Noriane's Bijoux: Twilight Impressions".

Noriane stopped selling on Etsy after some issues with Summit Entertainment, apparently they don't like artists being inspired by Twilight, and she now has her own website, with the new name, and has some new brilliant pieces, but also all the old favourites!

The bracelet that arrived on Monday is one of the new designs, the Aqua Violet Bouquet bracelet, and it's as gorgeous as I've grown used to expect from Noriane's jewellry!

Not only her jewellry is amazing, but also, her packages are always a treat, all jewellry in satin black pouches, and this time, I even got a gorgeous sun catcher and a microfiber cloth to clean my jewellry!

She's now added a new bracelet to her collection, the Purple Dream bracelet, that I will be adding to my collection (I own quite a few of hers) for my birthday, that she first made as a custom for a friend of mine. And that you can see here!

Whether you like Twilight or not, I can assure you that you will love Ever Designs' jewellry!

Shopping Handmade: Pilu's Birthday

Hello there!

Going back to work today was such a release! I had a MUCH better shift which means I arrived home earlier, I could park better and I'm not as tired, which in turn allows me to blog before going to sleep early, since tomorrow I work morning shift (my last day at work before my holidays, yay!).

Today's morning I met up with one of my best friends since Nursing School. for a coffee and some b-day presents swapping! We hadn't seen each other since before my b-day and I wanted to make sure that even if I'm gonna miss her b-day, cause I'll be in the US, she didn't have to wait till November to get them!

Pilu and me were nicknamed "Siamese sisters" during nursing school by our friends, cause we have sooooo many things in common, and we both are dark haired, dark eyes and we both have curls, and also share our two first names!

As with many things, we started reading and getting hooked to Twilight without telling each other about it, or even recommending it, but when we found we had both got hooked to the books, we started talking about them and planning going to see New Moon together!

One of the many times we met, for lunch & a movie, or for window (and real) shopping & coffee, I was wearing a pair of my Noriane's Bijoux pieces, and she fell in love with my Midnight Sun pendant, so I quickly made a mental note to get her one for her b-day, and I also got the idea of getting her a custom (and unique) matching bracelet. Noriane not only was happy to oblige but also managed to make such a fantastic piece that Pilu is very lucky that I like her as much as I do and I decided to give to her and not keep for myself!

I also knew that she would totally love the very cute Kukubee Twilight pouches, and I decided to get her the Lion & Lamb set of mini pouches, so I would put each of the jewellery pieces in each one of the pouches! It would serve as a sort of gift wrapping within the gift wrapping!

So, this morning during coffee we did the gift swapping, and she absolutely LOVED both the very cute pouches, and was absolutely thrilled by the fact that she got a pendant like mine and even more about the unique custom bracelet that matched it!

Wondering what I got? An awesome green leather (or pleather, I'm no sure) jacket we both had seen (and loved) on one of out previous shopping trips! ;)

Twilight Impressions by Noriane's Bijoux!

Hey there!

Having a nice Saturday? Mine was somewhat productive, if a lil annoying at times, grocery shopping past noon is a no-no! Luckily I got a Sachertorte cake and a bottle of Lambrusco for tomorrow's meet up (a friend of mine & yours truly are doing a lil b-day joint celebration), so hopefully after that I'll have time to post another blog entry AND Sunday Shots, hopefully.

But, Saturday evening's starlight belongs only to Noriane and her gorgeous line of Twilight inspired jewellery!

I found Noriane's shop in Etsy while doing a search for Twilight items while I was reading the series for the first time, and even though I've never been too much of jewellery fan... I fell in love at first sight with everything that she had!!

My first purchases were a beautiful necklace (Look After My Heart) and a bookmark (Pure Love) and those were just the beginning! From them on I've got more necklaces, bracelets and even a ring! (Yes, you've guessed right, I've never been a ring's girl... but Edward's Eyes is a special kind of ring!). I've even got myself a bunch of custom items, and it's always a joy to talk to Noriane and ask her questions, she always works with and makes sure you get exactly what you want! My custom pieces are more than amazing and absolutely perfect!

I've also got some of Noriane's pieces as b-day presents, I got my sis-in-law an "Edward's Eyes" necklace that she loved, and I've also got one of my best friends (and also discreet Twilight fan) a Midnight Sun pendant with a custom matching bracelet that I'd be tempted to keep for myself!

I've got sooooo many of her amazing pieces of jewellery that I wasn't sure if I should include of all them in one blog, but I've decided to add all the ones that I've taken shots of, so bear with me, there are gonna be loads of photographs!

Midnight Sun pendant (all sold out now)

Edward's Eyes ring

Jeans and A T-shirt bracelet

Custom Midnight Sky necklace

Lost in the Woods necklace

New Moon bookmark

Topaz Moon necklace

As you can see, none of them actually scream Twilight Fan! but are amazingly pieces of wearable art that fans and non-fans of the series alike can wear.

In case you're wondering, the two dresses I'm wearing are by Meow Kiki, the black shrug is by Lady Moon Designs, the two tops are by Label of Hope and the coffee cozie is by Crossbones Collateral.

Kukubee!

Hey there!

Yep, as promised I'm back! I've been thoroughly enjoying my day off, or maybe wasting it, take your pick, cause I haven't really done much aside from reading, watching some Torchwood and taking a few pics for this very blog entry!

Since I'm gonna be working morning shift tomorrow, I'm hoping I might be able to write another blog entry too, but on Friday I'll be leaving for a family celebration, for my sis-in-law and younger nephew's b-day! And I will be going back straight to work night shift on Saturday, so I'm hoping I'll be inspired in between to work on my self-portrait for the week!

Last week I decided to indulge myself (despite the recent expenses in the shape of plane tickets) and my Twilight fan side on the cutest lil pouch ever! It's so cute that even those non-fans or even the ones that dislike the books would find it really cute! (Even the bf did!).

I found Kukubee's shop doing a search on Etsy, for Twilight items, I like looking at what things I like (be it books, movies or even sushi!) can inspire on crafters of all kind! If you look for Twilight on Etsy, you'll get loads of jewellry, but you'll also get to find this cute pencil pouch, based on the famous line "And so the lion fell in love with the lamb".

As usual, before purchasing anything from a shop, I looked at profile, listings, shop policies and did a bit of reading on their feedback. That's something I highly recommend to anyone before making a purchase, to acquaint yourself with the shop's policies, and to read shop announcements and listings with attention, reading and paying attention seems to be becoming a lost art in the world of the internet shopping.

In their shop, you not only can find some really cute Twilight pouches, but also all sort of cute pouches and prints with their original illustrations with vampires, pandas and zombies gallore!

So, I bought my pouch last week, and only yesterday it arrived home, all the way from Canada! I couldn't be happier, it's even cuter in person than it looks in the pics, and I can't wait to fill it up with my headphones and other utilities and stuff it inside my hand-luggage for my trip to the States!

Isn't it soooo cute!?

I shall leave you now, since dinner and maybe Torchwood and/or some Twilight reading (Breaking Dawn) await for me!
