Wearing Handmade Wednesday has arrived, and one more week it's been rescued from the folder of old pictures!
I keep on having to check my back up HDD for photos, cause I have been seriously lacking in the photo department, but I do hope it'll get better soon!
The super cute fingerless gloves were made by the talented & awfully nice Kyoko of Cotton And Cloud! I have already featured Cotton And Cloud here, but I don't think I got to show off these gloves, they're so cute I had to get some as presents for my friends too! ;) She used to sell on Etsy, but right now she's only selling from her website's shop, and she's mostly selling her own patterns, materials and unique Japanese craft books, although she also sells some of her handmade product though only purses and bags, no gloves or shawls. Which means, her shop is a must stop for knitters & crocheters, and a place to wish we could knit &/or crochet to those of us that can't! ;)
And don't forget to check out her blog too, she posts all sorts of tricks, free patterns and general kitty cuteness!
My little space to share my love for books, cupcakes and the handmade world, with some of my photography from time to time!

Wearing Handmade Wednesday: MTcoffinz Underground!
Another Wednesday has come around, and that means yet another entry of Wearing Handmade Wednesday is ready here!

I already showed off my MTcoffinz Underground's Skull Nurse scarf, but since Jinx is releasing new embroidery designs all the time, I was bound to go back to her shop. And so, when I saw her Patronus Stag design for scarves, I decided to ask if she could adapt it for fingerless gloves and in purple. And so my awesome Purple Patronus gloves were born! They're so warm and comfy & just plain cool!
And if you're wondering what the heck a Patronus is... this lil geek recommends that you go read the Harry Potter series, or alternatively, go watch "The Prisoner of Azkaban", but trust me, books are always better than their movies! ;)

MTCoffinz, more than just tutus!!
Monday is here, once again, and we embark in the week of Halloween! I hope you all guys have loads of fun plans, I work night shift on Halloween so no plans for me, but I'd still be getting into the Halloween spirit!
This blog entry is dedicated to one of the big names in the AOTC forums & handmade community is general, and to one of the most successful crafters I know, so much that her craft has taken over her life, and as such she is known as a cyborg, part seamstress, part sewing machine! The lady in question is none other than Jinx, the brains & talent behind MTCoffinz & MTCoffinz Underground, her two Etsy shops, though she also has her own website.
Jinx is best know for being the Queen of tulle & tutu skirts, but in her shops you can find not only all sorts, sizes & colours of tutus (micro, mini, formal, tea length... you name it, she has it!) but also embroidered scarves & fingerless gloves & headbands that are embroidered right there at the MTCoffinz studio with the most awesome designs you can imagine, but also hairfalls, veils, masks... well, to really know all is there, you need to go and take a good look at both shops!
I already own a super awesome mini tutu, cause right now I have no space whatsoever in my wardrobe for a bigger tutu, but I have plans, oh yes, I do have plans... but that's all I have to say for now. Shush! ;)

Recently Jinx added a bunch of new embroidered scarves to her MTCoffinz Underground shop and when I saw the Nurse Skull Crossbones design, I just had to get it!

It's super cool, and I'm sure I'm gonna be the envy of all my co-workers once the weather gets cold enough for scarves! And the scarf itself is made of black alpine fleece, so warm & soft! I'm surely packing it for my trip to India next month!

Take a lot at both shops, you're sure to find something(s) you'll love!

Wearing Handmade Wednesday: Zen And Coffe Designs!
One more week, Wednesday rolls in, and with it comes Wearing Handmade Wednesday!
This week, I'm back to be the one sporting the handmade goods, but expect more "guest" presences, since I plan to show off handmade presents I've given to family and friends!
My gorgeous custom length Paris At Dusk gloves from Zen And Coffee!
I've already featured the talented Wren of Zen And Coffee Designs in a previous blog entry, but since I'm so in love with her fingerless gloves and arm warmers, and own quite a few of them, I felt she deserved a Wearing Handmade Wednesday mention too!
She has fingerless gloves for all seasons and occasions, so do check her shop and you'll be sure to fall in love with something (or various somethings more probably!).

Zen and Coffee Designs!
First things first... you have to allow me to celebrate that Spain will be playing the final of the World Cup against Holland! Hooray!! The very first time we've made it this far!!
And now, we will continue with the scheduled program for the day...
Today's blog entry is dedicated to Wren from Zen And Coffee designs, and her lovely arm warmers and fingerless gloves! I met Wren at the Attack of Craft forum, and loved her shop! She has all sort of fingerless gloves, from Alice inspired ones, to velvety ones, to any and all that you can wish for!
Since she belongs to the CraftAnon Etsy Street Team, she usually takes part of the weekly TNT sales (every Thursday a different sale on tons of Etsy shops), so I decided to take advantage of said sale one week, and got me two pairs of fingerless gloves!
All her pairs have unique names, and I got me the "She's In Parties" and the "The Sanity Assassin" pairs! Both are made with stretchy velvet fabric, both equally gorgeous!

The fabric is probably not the ideal for the heat wave we have right now, but it's not as hot to wear them as I would have expected either. They're really comfy and look great on!

I'm already planning on what other pair(s) to get next! I have my eye on the Alice's Curiouser and Curiouser ones, and also in the First Jhana ones! But as I said, she has so many great pieces! She even has some Doctor Who inspired pieces!

Cotton & Cloud!
Having some time off this days, for New Years, I'm now catching up on my blogging!
After watching her bags shop for a while, and hearting and wishing I could buy something, I took a chance with one of her sales, and got me two nice bags! A dice pouch and a pencil zipper pouch, both so well made and with lovely fabrics! I use the dice pouch to keep my lil collection of tea bags, as you can see here!

I found Kyoko's shop: Cotton & Cloud by pure chance on Etsy, actually while using pounce! I found her lovely shop for her handmade bags, where she had the link for her handmade knitted goodness!! Mainly gloves and custom made baby jackets, and she also offers PDF knitting patterns!

Once the cold weather arrived I started eyeing her knitted goods and thinking I really wanted a pair of her fingerless gloves, since I always get cold hands in winter, but can't drive with gloves. I got myself a pair of gray & white fingerless gloves, which not only arrive in no time from the UK, but also are as great as I expected and more! They're really soft and warm, and I don't loose grip with the steering wheel! I liked them so much that I decided to get another pair in dark mocca and light cappuccino (that happen to match colours with my most used for everyday coat, I'm keeping the gray ones to match a gray coat by Vivifromage and a black pea coat by Crossbones Couture). I absolutely love both pairs of gloves!

I even decided to get a pair of fingerless reversible gloves for one of my friends for her b-day, and she's absolutely impressed with them, and love them! She said that it was the most original and creative and different gift she had been given in the past years! I'm now waiting for Kyoko to list more gloves in her shop to get another pair for another friend whose birthday is in February, cause she now wants a pair too!
And I'm just waiting for Kyoko to finish a custom jacket for Gaurav's niece, Anya, for her b-day in March, and I can't wait to get the lovely knitted jacket and send it to her, and see how lovely and cozy she will look on it! I'll probably be writing a blog entry once I get pics from Anya with her warm jacket!
Both her shops are amazing and filled with great products, and her customer service matches her knitting skills! Also, if you wanna say hello to her, here's her blog!
