Tell Me Tuesdays #5!!

Tell Me Tuesdays is a meme/feature created by the awesome ladies of Please Feed The Bookworm and La La In The Library where we can share how we choose the book we are currently reading from our TBR pile!

I'm always curious about that, cause as much as I tend to make myself a rough schedule for books to read and the like, I'm quite a mood reader and sometimes I just HAVE to ignore my schedule and read something else!

The Girl With All The Gifts by M.R. Carey

"NOT EVERY GIFT IS A BLESSING

Every morning, Melanie waits in her cell to be collected for class.

When they come for her, Sergeant Parks keeps his gun pointing at her while two of his people strap her into the wheelchair. She thinks they don't like her. She jokes that she won't bite. But they don't laugh.

Melanie is a very special girl.

Emotionally charged and gripping from beginning to end, THE GIRL WITH ALL THE GIFTS is the most powerful and affecting thriller you will read this year."

I'm doing a read-along with one of my fave book people and trusted canary Kristen from My Friends Are Fiction, and we both are absolutely loving this book to bits! Thank you, Wendy from The Midnight Garden for the recommendation!

So what are you all guys reading and how and why did you decide to pick up that book? Shiny new ARC? Comfort read? Scheduled for review? Must have new release? Tell me!!

  1. I've never heard of this one Pili, but that little blurb has me intrigued! I want to know what's happened to Melanie - why she's in the wheelchair with military-type people pointing guns at her. Can't wait for your full review Pili, glad to know you're loving it thus far!!!

Oh, and I'm reading Firebug by Lish McBride at the moment - she's got a great sense of humor:)

  2. I'm mostly going by my schedule these days so there's really no choosing involved. I'm so far behind on everything that i have to strictly follow my calendar. Hopefully one day I'll get to read what I feel like reading at that moment.

  3. I am reading The Naturals by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. I don't schedule anything, this one just caught my eye a few days ago. I'm doing a reading challenge at GoodReads where we're doing spell-it-out. I was looking over what we needed and what I had and decided to go with this one, to read a "N" book. I just started it last night, so I'm not far into it. Will finish it today.

  11. You're in for an awesome ride, Pili! This one was absolutely amazing, and I loved reading and reviewing it. It's super philosophical for a zombie book, but it's the deep kind, not the shallow ones some zombie books pretend to be :P Haha! I hope you enjoy it!
