Once I heard that Strange Chemistry was closing its doors, I went and bought a few paperback from books I've loved published by them. And finally my paperback copy of The Rules for Disappearing arrived (the second copy sent). Two books were recommended by Wendy of The Midnight Garden, and I needed The Grisha series in hardcover now.

Thank you sweetie!
What?! I had no idea about the Strange Chemistry thing! I really liked some of their books :( but it looks like you have a fantastic haul there! Me, well, I went a little overboard with the freebies this week ;) lol
ReplyDeleteYeah, it was a real bummer the Strange Chemistry thing! At least it seems like they'd be still printing them for a while!
DeleteI need to put myself on a book ban now, I think!
Awesomeeee, Shadow and Bone and Fangirl! I liked those two a lot :D I know you highly recommend Weston's books, but I am not feeling them at all. Angel books have never sat well with me, and I'm not too interested :o I hope you enjoy all of your new books, Pili!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog!
Alyssa @ The Eater of Books!
I'm not a fan of angel books, but these I might end up pushing on you once the series is finished next year... they're pretty awesome!
DeleteFangirl was awesome and this edition is SO PRETTY!! *hugs book*
Thank you, Alyssa!!
OMG FANGIRL
ReplyDeleteAnd the special UK edition!! IT'S AMAZING!
DeleteAhh, this post of yours is seriously making me squeal. Such GORGEOUS books! *yells like a maniac* First of all, that photo you took of your goodies from TBD is just so beautiful. *tears up* OMG THAT EDITION OF FANGIRL FROM THE UK IS JUST BEAUTIFUL. You need to read it ASAP.
ReplyDeleteThe Rules for Disappearing is just amazing. The concept is beautiful and unique, and well... I loved it. I hope you do, too! I recently have gotten The Girl With All the Gifts because of the captivating summary and the positive 5 star reviews of it that are all over the place! I'm seriously anticipating to read it so bad. :) I read Shadow and Bone before, and I didn't end up really liking it, but since ToG has gotten me in a fantasy-love feeling, I'm going to head back and re-read it and see my thoughts.
I loved Origin! I hope you do enjoy it. And OMG I just got Landline today as well! The hardcover edition is just too stunning. I admire it every second I can. *stares back at it* And ahh, I got the Atlantia sample as well! I'm going to read it tonight to see my thoughts. :)
Yeah, this was a beautiful haul, Pili! I'm super jelly. xD

Thank you!!
Wow, you cleaned up, dollface! I've had Origin on my TBR forever. I hope you love them, and I can't wait to hear what you think about the Paula Weston series ;)
ReplyDeleteOrigin was quite cheap on my Kindle app, so I decided to finally get it! And the Paula Weston series? All three books are 5 stars for me! The reviews for them will be up next week! ;)
DeleteI was really sad to hear about Strange Chemistry closing their doors as well. Luckily I already had my two favourite books of theirs in paperback. The special edition of Fangirl is soooo beautiful isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to read Origin for such a long time, so I'll definitely be looking forward to seeing what you think of it! The Rules for Disappearing and Murder Most Unladylike both sound really good!
