Tell Me Tuesdays #2!!

Tell Me Tuesdays is a meme/feature created by the awesome ladies of Please Feed The Bookworm and La La In The Library where we can share how we choose the book we are currently reading from our TBR pile!
I'm always curious about that, cause as much as I tend to make myself a rough schedule for books to read and the like, I'm quite a mood reader and sometimes I just HAVE to ignore my schedule and read something else!

Hexed by Michelle Krys!

If high school is all about social status, Indigo Blackwood has it made. Sure, her quirky mom owns an occult shop, and a nerd just won’t stop trying to be her friend, but Indie is a popular cheerleader with a football-star boyfriend and a social circle powerful enough to ruin everyone at school. Who wouldn’t want to be her?

Then a guy dies right before her eyes. And the dusty old family Bible her mom is freakishly possessive of is stolen. But it’s when a frustratingly sexy stranger named Bishop enters Indie’s world that she learns her destiny involves a lot more than pom-poms and parties. If she doesn’t get the Bible back, every witch on the planet will die. And that’s seriously bad news for Indie, because according to Bishop, she’s a witch too.

Suddenly forced into a centuries-old war between witches and sorcerers, Indie’s about to uncover the many dark truths about her life—and a future unlike any she ever imagined on top of the cheer pyramid.

I got Hexed in the mail a pair of weeks back and when one Becca from Pivot Book Reviews saw it suggested that we'd do a buddy read for it, so that's why Hexed is the book I'm reading right now as I just started it last night, after finishing Unwept last night!.

So what are you all guys reading and how and why did you decide to pick up that book? Shiny new ARC? Comfort read? Scheduled for review? Must have new release? Tell me!!

  2. Right now I'm reading The Stone of Destiny by Laura Howard. It's SO good and Ethan is to swoon for! This is an ARC I got a while ago and it was next on my list, more or less.

  3. I'm the opposite of you. I can't plan out a list. If I plan something out (like for a read-a-thon), it's pretty much a surefire way of NOT reading those books!! I just read what I'm in the mood for. Right now I am reading Nil by Lynne Matson and listening to The Grimm Legacy by Polly Shulman. Both are great so far. Next up is either Peter Pan Must Die by John Verdon or Innocent Prey by Maggie Shayne. The Verdon is one I've been waiting on (released today) as it's a series I follow, and the Shayne is an ARC from NetGalley, also a series I follow so I'm excited about that one.

  7. Ooo, I've never heard of this meme. Sounds awesome! And I actually just read a DNF review for this book, so I'll be skipping it D: Not a big fan of witch books anyway.

    Hope you enjoy!

  9. I've heard a lot of negative things about Hexed, so I don't think I'm too keen on it actually! I'm reading Breaking Butterflies at the moment, it is about mental illness and it's scary o_o

    1. So far I'm liking it myself, Jeann, but yeah I've read a lot of good and bad reviews for this one!
Mental illness books tend to be scary, I can't wait to read your review for that one!

  10. Uh *scratches head* I finished a book and a short story yesterday. Talking after Midnight was a comfort read and I just needed something nice but I had no idea how much I would like it. I mean at first it was all insta-love ... kind of? but then things got rolling and I really liked the main couple and loved how the conflict played out.

Silent Blade was interesting... I liked it but for a large chunk I was just surprised because that's not what I usually expect from Ilona Andrews..

Have fun reading Hexed, Pili!! I hope you enjoy it! :)

  11. I'm taking a big review copy break this month (though I still have a handful that I need to get to), so I read Since You've Been Gone yesterday (so good!) and have started Daughter of Smoke and Bone today. I'll be reading a couple others this week as well and I'm really excited for them. :)
