NetGalley November was a challenge organized by K-Books, Bookish Treasures & A Daydreamer's Thoughts to tackle our TBR list of books for review that we got from NetGalley.
I had originally aimed to read between 11-15 eARCs but I have massively failed at it! I did manage to improve my ratio a little bit, and I do plan to continue with the catching up during December, to try and start the New Year closer or on the 80% recommended ratio there!
What all did I manage to read?
- Covenant From Hell by Priscilla Royal
- Cracked by Eliza Crewel
- The Pentrals by Crystal Mack
- Pawn by Aimee Carter
- Bellman & Black by Diane Setterfield
- The Iron Traitor by Julie Kagawa
So 6 books total puts me in the Medium range of the challenge, and though I improved my ratio a lil bit, I'm still a while away from 80%, since right now I'm at 58%!
Haha, your feedback ratio is much better than mine! It doesn't matter that you failed, at least you managed to improve your ratio and read some review books :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Samantha! I will try to continue to read mostly review books in December (except for some novellas and THESE BROKEN STARS!!) so I can allow myself to request books again for the new year!
DeleteAny improvement is good improvement!
ReplyDeleteMy NetGalley November Wrap-Up.
Thank you, Kim! Something IS better than nothing!
Delete6 books is a lot to clear up! I'm still in a deep, deep pit on Netgalley, I doubt I'll ever find my way out.
ReplyDeleteI was happy to see that you enjoyed Cracked, I thought it was quirky and very original. :)
I still have a lot to get through, but I'm trying to start 2014 without such a deep pit, wish me luck!
DeleteAnd yeah, Cracked was such a fresh story, so much fun in such a unusual way!
I think that we are all far too hard on ourselves!
ReplyDelete6 books is an achievement.
For me this challenge has inspired me to try to keep on top go my digital TBR now that I have wrangled it. This includes being more selective about the titles I request, not being afraid to feed back that I DNF and possibly being less precious about my reviews.
I have also learnt/discovered a lot of tips regarding feedback including how to feed back on older titles, that feed back doesn't necessarily have to be reviews- blogs, book hauls, friday reads etc can all count!
Thank you, Caroline! I am working on being more selective for sure!
DeleteIf there's anyone I know who reads ALOT, it must be you, Pili! I love to read as well but not as hardcore as you. lol. I was going through my customer contact list and saw your name.. it's been more than 4 years since we knew each other in the blogging world! Time fliesssss. Take care and stay happy! :)

Time does indeed flyyyyy! 4 years already! Hope everything is going great for you, Rheea! Give Nono a belly rub from me!
DeleteWow what an amazing achievement Pili! I LOVED Pawn and The Iron Traitor, glad you got to read them. I need to catch up on my Netgalley reads, but all my physical review reads are pretty much taking up my time at the moment.

Thanks Jeann! I only have eARCs so that's why I am so focused on getting through them at the moment!
