Completely by chance, following a link from Twitter to a giveaway, I stumbled upon this post from Bookish Treasures about a new challenge, called NetGalley November.
What's this challenge about? Well, apparently is not rare for any book blogger to have quite a huge TBR pile of eARCs on NetGalley to read and review (so glad to hear I'm not the only one!) so the ladies at K-Books, Bookish Treasures and A Daydreamer's Thoughts have created a challenge to attack that pile and improve our approved to reviewed ratio on NetGalley! In case you are wondering, yes publishers do take that ratio into account before approvals, so better get it into the recommended 80%!
There are different targets to choose from:

There are different targets to choose from:
Easy: 1-4
Medium: 5-10
Hard: 11-15
Difficult: 16-20
Netgalley Superstar: 21+
To really give me a boost and aim high I'm gonna go for Hard and hope to read and schedule reviews for between 11 to 15 NetGalley ARCs! What I really need to achieve is get to the 80% ratio!
Wish me luck!
I'm not good at reading books via Netgalley (A) this is an awesome challenge! Hope you'll manage it :) Good luck!

Thanks a lot, Carina!
DeleteI'm terrible with challenges lol, mainly because I have all my reads for the month scheduled in. Although this might help the case because I'm mainly reading review books at the moment. Good luck Pili!

I try to schedule my reads too, but I'm usually not very good at it! I have quite a few of my review copies for November books so this challenge works well for me that way!
DeleteThanks Jeann!
I try to schedule as often as I can, but it IS hard to stay on top of those review books. I'm doing better at staying away from NetGalley and Edelweiss this year though! Thankfully my ratio isn't too bad, so I just have to make sure I keep it in check. Good luck with your challenge, Pili! I'll cheer you on from the sidelines. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot, Sam! My scheduling has gone bonkers after this vacation with the bf, we really needed the time for just ourselves, so even if I've read some, I haven't read as much not have reviewed and blogged as I would have scheduled, so I'm quite behind now!
DeleteI am so in!
