Wearing Handmade Wednesday: Piper And Paisley!!

Hello everyone!

Wednesday has rolled in, and with it yet another edition of Wearing Handmade Wednesday!

My super cute Etta hat from Piper & Paisley!

I had never been a hat lady, but that changed when I discovered Piper & Paisley's Etsy shop! I'm totally in love with her amazing handmade hats, and I already have quite a collection of them! They're ideal for bad & good hair days and simply perfect to coordinate with any outfit to add a lil chic & cuteness! I still have to write a proper Friday Feature about this shop, but for now, I wanna share a great sale they have currently on, with the code SNAILSALE you get 25% off! The only catch, you have to wait 1-5 weeks to get your hat(s)!

Wearing Handmade Wednesday: Julian Bean Accessories!!

Hello everyone! Today is that day of the week so it's time for Wearing Handmade Wednesday again!

My sis-in-law wearing my Cranberry Julian Bean slouch hat!

During our gift giving celebration & dinner in Jan 5th (the official day is Jan 6th, but in my family we do it our way) my sis-in-law saw my cranberry Julian Bean beanie hat, and liked it so much that she tried it own and decided to ask me for one for herself!

I still need to talk to her about what colour she wants it to be, and what colour she wants to button, cause she said she wanted just one accent button, like this one. That's the best thing about the Julian Bean beanie hats, you can choose to make it, exactly as you want it, one button or two, and she has 24 colours of yarn to choose from! I'm actually waiting for my 3rd hat to arrive in the mail any day now, and this one is a button-less one!

And in case you'd wonder, yes, it's yours truly in the first pic of the beanie hat listing! ;)

Handmade Crochet Accessories by Julian Bean!!

Friday has come around again, and here I am, with another blog entry ready!

This time, I'm gonna show off a shop that is gonna seem like a godsend for those of you undergoing this lovely new cold wave in Europe, and also for anyone who loves cute accessories!

Let me introduce you to the super crafty Erin and her shop for her crocheted accessories: Julian Bean! Here you can find all sort of warm & cozy wearables like hats, cowls, scarves, ear warmers... all hand crocheted and all custom made in the yarn colour(s) of your choice!

I got myself her Button Slouch Hat, and since you can choose from 24 different yarn colours and a bunch of buttons, after considerable pondering, I went for the eggplant with one black oval and one white star buttons! Erin has great customer service, and it's quite the fast crocheter! In less than two weeks my hat was made and received! Shipping only took a lil over a week, and coming from the US!

I'm absolutely in love with my hat! The eggplant colours is so rich and vibrant, the hat looks great whether you wear it more slouch or not, and the different coloured buttons give it a sort of yin & yang feel & look to it!

Well, I love it so much that I already ordered another hat (cranberry with just one star button) that is sitting at home waiting for me to return home to Spain, and I think I've finally decided on the colour for a button-less hat, finally! Btw, if you check her Etsy shop, you can see yours truly in the custom hat's listing!

Not only this hat is fashionable but it's also super warm, cozy and comfy to wear! I took it with me to our trip to the mountains in Darjeeling, and I sure can tell you I (and my ears) were truly grateful of having it with us!

One last note, remember how I said that Erin is super crafty? Well, she has another two Etsy shops, one called Take Two Skate Shop, where she sells eco-friendly items like jewellry, coaster, pins, magnets and more, made out of old & broke skateboards, a rather cool shop! And the other, it's her original shop, Little Momma Erin, where you can find all kinds of cool geeky accessories!

Nuxie Made!

Good evening/afternoon!

How's everyone doing on this fine Saturday? I'm enjoying a rare weekend off, so I'm really enjoying the feeling of knowing I don't have to go anywhere and can do whatever I please!

That's why I've been doing some picture editing while listening to some music and having some decaf cappuccino, and now I'm all ready for my new entry!

Sometimes you find a shop while browsing Etsy, or even while looking for other stuff, and you start watching something and really want to get it, but it doesn't really feel like you should indulge yourself... That's what happened when I found NuxieMade.

I found her shop while looking for lil girl's clothing on Etsy, trying to find a nice present for one of Gaurav's nieces' b-day. I was checking this really nice shop called KateEmersonDesigns and saw a pair of dresses that I liked, and in the pics they were worn combined with this really cute hats/beanies, so I checked the listing and found a link to the shop that made the hats!

I wasn't sure if the hats would be something the girls would like, but damn, they were cute! And I did like them a lot! So I added NuxieMade to my favourites, and checked it now and then. To my surprise I saw that not only she made all baby, toddler and teen sizes, but she was also offering more and more adult sizes and even had the option to make any of her hats into adult size.

That was quite a temptation for me, but I added my favourite Beanie with Brim to my favourites and decided to wait for a better time to get it, and the time to fit it into my expenses came in May, yes, I know getting a yarn beanie for the warmer weather is not the brightest of ideas, but hey, I sure will be ready for autumn! ;)

She offers three sizes for adult hats, and I got me the robin's egg blue with rose pink, light pink and yellow flower. The cutest lil hat ever! According to her shop, she was taking about 4 weeks from time of order till completion and shipment (poor thing must have been buried under yarn and hats!) but I think it didn't take the full 4 weeks till my hat was shipped, and it only took one week in transit.

The hat is sooo well made, and the colours are fantastic in real life! I'm not sure if with all the tweaking around with my editing tools I've managed to reflect how lovely they are!

I'm really gonna love wearing this around this fall, and even if it was a bit hot to wear a yarn hat, I managed to take a pic wearing it, even if my face is a bit shiny cause of the heat! Ain't it the cutest lil hat ever?

I'm thinking that after summer I'll get myself the Riona knitted cardigan I've been eyeing for so long (maybe even in light pink? or would it be too much?) and I'll have the cutest and warmest set of cardigan and hat to get me through the autumn!
