Wearing Handmade Wednesday: How to get ready to attend a wedding handmade style!

Hello everyone! I'm feeling pretty hyper today, even after two night shifts on a row! Why, well, cause tomorrow I'm flying to India! 3 weeks on vacation with the bf, absolute bliss!

This week's Wearing Handmade Wednesday is not dedicated to one seller only, it is actually a way to show how you can go to a wedding, looking great and wearing only handmade pieces! (except for the shoes).

This photo is mostly to show off my straight hair, and the awesome job Isa, the MUA & owner of Primer Plano Maquillaje Profesional did with my make up!

Here you can see part of my Vivifromage dress, my Glamasaurus ring, StellarCheri wristlet and my Pet Zombie Creations necklace!

Wearing my Isla New York Jasmine jacket, with the Glamasaurus geisha brooch

Here you can see my Isla New York Leila leggins/stockings and my Mary Jane high heels (that I bought on eBay years ago!)

And a shot of the full look at the wedding venue itself, never mind my super pale face!

If you like what I wore: the Jasmine jacket is available in three colours at Isla New York's Etsy shop; the Vivifromage dress was a limited edition piece (only 3 were made and each one was a different size & colour) but she has many great items in her website, her autumn collection is also almost sold out!; my Pet Zombie Creation's necklace was also one-of-a-kind, but Destry has many amazing necklaces in her Etsy shop, my Glamasaurus ring & brooch are also one-of-kind, but Andreanna has other geisha brooches in her Etsy shop; the Leila stockings/leggins are not available right now at Isla New York's shop, but she might bring them back for autumn season; and the Stellarcheri wristlet is available in many colours in her Etsy shop via this custom listing.

Wearing Handmade Wednesday: Glamasaurus!!

Today, for my Wearing Handmade Wednesday you might think I'm cheating, but I just had to think quick and I really didn't feel like taking a pic of myself today, stupid cold!

Our family picture "wearing" its new Glamasaurus frame!

I'm showing off (sideways, I know) my new and amazing frame from Glamasaurus! I needed a cute frame to show off the first complete family picture, including Gaurav, and this one was absolutely perfect!

I've already blogged about Andreanna's shop, first when I won her giveaway and then again when I got some more awesomeness from her shop, but I just couldn't help it and needed to show off my new frame! Btw, did you see my Jack Skellington frame? No? Lookie and turn green with envy! ;)

Getting ready to leave, the handmade way!

Hello everyone!

Is it Friday now? I'm in a bit of a whirlwind as of late with all the preparations for my trip, working extra shifts to cover the extra days off I'm taking, and just trying to pack for one full month!

Main thing I've realized... I really need a bigger suitcase for next time!

I just wanted to share a few of the handmade goodies that are basics for my packing & trip planning!

First, I'll start with my carry on luggage, I need a bag big enough to carry chargers, and all sort of basics, a book and my camera, so my Brooke Van Gory camera bag is absolutely ideal! Roomy, but fits the measurements for carry on luggage, and with plenty of space & pockets for everything! To add to its specialness, my bag is made with Rocky The Zombie panels, custom painted for it!

Second, any savvy traveler will tell you, bring all the essentials you can with you, and with the new regulations for liquids for carry on luggage, a small travel kit with all my facial care essentials is a must, and Spa Therapy Work has just the right thing!

And last but not least for this lil show off, my awesome contact lens case from Glamasaurus, ideal to always carry in all bags, not just in my carry on, so I can always be ready for an impromptu overnight stay at any point! Ain't it just super cute and cool!? ;)

That's all for now, some more next week, I'll have some posts ready for even during my flight! ;)

Glamasaurus!!

I've already told you about the awesomeness that fills to the brim Andreanna's shop, Glamasaurus, since I won a gift certificate to her shop, but this time, I just have to share the new goodies that I got from her shop!

When I first saw the Skeletina Antique Ring & Bobby pins, I fell in love with them, but I was a bit slow on the actually deciding to grab then, so someone else got them, and I was left waiting for Andreanna to get more supplies to relist them! She was really nice and tipped me on facebook on when was gonna list them, and after the wait, I was pretty sure I wanted them, so I snatched them as soon as they were back on her Etsy shop!

Getting a Glamasaurus package in the mail is always awesome, cause it's so nicely presented that you feel like you're getting a proper gift!

This time the postal workers were a lil less careful, and my package was a lil crumpled, but since everything inside is super well protected, everything arrived in perfect condition!!

A super cute detail, along with her business cards (I like getting extra business cards, so I can give them away to people when asked about my stuff) was a scratch card! I love that idea! You give your clients discounts and something a lil special in a fun way!

I also got a few lil extras, super cute bobby pins, that I'll be gifting to G's nieces in the US, I'm sure they'll look super cute on them!

And now onto my amazing Skeletina items!

The gorgeous ring: it's quite light, which I like, and it's the right size to be noticeable, without being a "conversation piece" (translation = HUGE). And it's a sturdy & durable! I really love it, and I've never been much of a ring person, this one is actually the second ring I own! And I plan to wear it only on special occasions.

The best part, it's adjustable, so I can wear it in all fingers, except the pinky!

The bobby pins: Again, they're light but sturdy and durable, and they're perfect to adding some style to my now shorter hair, and they don't fall off the hair easily either.

As I've already said, I'm quite the happy puppy with my Glamasaurus order!

Winning a Glamasaurus Giveaway!

Winning a giveaway is always a special feeling, and recently, I've been the happy winner of two!
First one was one of HeartSizedCrush's Free Shit Tuesdays, but I'll be dedicating a full blog entry to it, and the second one, was hosted by Gaming Angels, and the prize was a gift certificate to Andreanna's shop: Glamasaurus.

Glamasaurus is full of all things cute, geeky & delicious looking, and as her tagline says, it's so sweet that it'll give you cavities, just by looking at it!

So winning a $30 gift certificate to her shop was like giving a kid free reign on a sweet shop! But truth be told, I already knew what I wanted to get, since I had been wanting the most edible looking necklace in history since she listed it!: the Chocolate Deluxe Cookie necklace!

Getting a package from Andreanna is really like getting a present! It's wrapped so nicely, that it makes you feel not like you've bought something (or won something, in my case) but like you are getting a proper gift in the mail!

And inside that super cute packaging, there it was, the most realistic chocolate cookie made with polymer clay in existence! And if you add to it, the faux whipped cream and the mini plastic donuts & chocolate... it looks so delicious you wanna eat it!

She also sent me a super cute mushroom bobby pin, and a super cute cookie ring! The danger of such a ring is that you might end up nibbling on it when you are hungry and bored... cause once again, it looks like a proper yummy cookie!

Showing it off to the bf, he went on his usual rant for when I buy "food looking things": "You are evil! I'm gonna end up eating one of those things and then we'll end up with me in the ER and you explaining that I ate a piece of soap/necklace/etc that looked/smelt like chocolate/a donut/a cookie!" He does have a point, since he has already tried to bite into one of the delicious chocolate smelling soaps that I have while in the shower...

But I can't help it, I love all these food-looking goodies, even if they look delicious but are not edible! Even if I do feel like biting into them on occasion too... ;)
