On Cupcake Moon!!

Hello there!

Middle of the regular work week, not so much for those like me that have an irregular schedule, but a Wednesday is a Wednesday!

This week has been pretty awesome, package wise, on Monday I got two packages, and on Tuesday I got another two! So, after taking a few pictures today, I'm ready to write a few blog entries this week!

My first entry is gonna be about the brilliant Deb from On Cupcake Moon and the address labels she made for me! (and all the lil extras I got on my package!). I met them through the amazing Rhi from Rocky The Zombie. Both Deb & me share a love for Rhi's amazing zombie guys and also have the same size, so if we put together all out RTZ goodies, it'd be quite impressive I'm sure!

Deb has always loved to draw, so she's always been an artist! She decided to create her own line of cards, invitations and everything else that came into her mind, with her own kind of quirky, whimsy & cute! With cupcakes, skulls & all naughty & nice things!

In her Etsy shop, you can find super cute invitation sets (for b-day, baby showers...), blank notecards and even cupcake wrappers! But they're only a small sample of all the goodness that you can find on her website! From a wider variety of all sorts of invitations to address labels, from gift tags to her art prints! And if you want some of her designs in other than paper, she also has a Cafepress shop where you can get her fabulous designs on a hoodie, a clock or a mug! (I am waiting for my Skully cupcake mug, hurry up Cafepress!).

And, if all that wasn't enough, Deb has a blog where every Friday she shares her favourite picks on Etsy, and has the best way to star the week with her Monday recipes! From super delicious, even sinful, desserts, to super healthy dishes!

You wanna see what I got on the mail on Tuesday? Three sheets of address labels! Every time I send a package to the nieces, or my bf, and even MORE during sending cards season, I get soooo tired of writing my own address in the return, and when she said she did custom address labels, with whatever design you chose, and with your choice of her fonts, I knew I had to do it! I chose my favourite design of hers, the skull cupcake, and in a super fast exchange of e-mails with her, my custom design was ready and in the mail, in a total of 24 hours tops! (including time differences, since Deb & me are in way different time zones!).

Not only I got my super cute address labels, but as a treat, Deb sent me some super cute blank cards, with again the oh-so-cute Skull Cupcake! This cards are soooo super cute, that I intend to keep one for myself as is, and use the rest!

Oh, and another treat she sent me, a super cute magnetic 2010 calendar with a few of her characters, ain't it cuter than cute?

If you have a family event, and you want cute but not Hallmark style invitations, check out Deb's shop, I'm sure you'll find something you'll like! And she's right now having a superb offer on her Etsy shop, with free address labels with any set of cards!

Biting Gnome Snail Mail aka Karyl's Cards!!

Happy Saturday everyone!

How's your weekend going? Mine is not going too bad, I have finally finished the unpacking and my suitcase is already stored back, till next time.

Today I've updated also the Two Girls And A Bar of Soap blog with our very shiny and new blog button, feel free to grab it here!

And to continue on keeping myself busy I've been taking and editing a few shots for this blog entry, about the amazing Karyl from Biting Gnome Baubles and her fantastic handmade cards!

I discovered her amazing cards when I got one with my order from Absidy Jewellery and I fell in love with it!

So I checked her shop, but there weren't any more available, so I have been keeping an eye open for some new cards. And last month she listed some gorgeous Alice cards, with the original Tenniel illustrations and I knew I had to get me some!

I got me two sets of 10 cards each, one set in red with Alice and the cards and the other in purple with Alice opening the door to the garden!

After these two more classical sets, she has also worked on more sets, this time based in some amazing movies! Sleepy Hollow, Nine, True Blood, etc... I got me two more sets, a Nightmare Before Christmas one and a set with images from the newest Alice In Wonderland movie!

The Nightmare Before Christmas set is absolutely perfect for Hallowe'en cards, and I will be sending them this year, if I can manage to part with them!

The Alice In Wonderland set is amazing, and I will be using it probably for b-day cards or any other sort of greeting cards, again if I can manage to part with them! They're just too cute!

And if these brilliant cards weren't enough, Karyl also makes amazing polymer jewellery! From pendants to necklaces to pins and accessory clips! I own a few pieces and love them to bits, but they'll be featured in another blog entry!

Need more reasons to check her shop? What about the amazing samples of soap you always get? OR the fact that she's offering a FREE SHIPPING sale right now AND that every purchase in her shops enters a drawing where you can win a sock monster and a $30 gift certificate? Awesome reasons, I know!

Pins & Cards by LiPeony!

It's Wednesday, and even if you can't believe it, I'm back to post a new blog entry!

Today I've discovered how much of a good idea switching to shooting RAW and using Lightroom was... I had intended to dedicate the afternoon to pic-taking since I have quite a bunch of things to photograph for blogging, but since my mum reminded me we had the Christmas foods shopping to finish, all the natural light was gone when we came back home.

I decided to switch on the light and start shooting, since I can now tweak the white balance settings and the like, and even with the not too good conditions, I have to say I managed some really nice shots!

I really wanted to show off some super cute stuff I got from LiPeony today and a pair of weeks ago, and if you are regular readers, maybe the name would sound familiar (I got a set of super cute and fun bookmarks from her, Mark the bookmark!).

She has all sort of cute things in her shop, from prints & ACEOS to cards and felt pins!

On my latest orders I've got myself some ACEOS, cards and super cute felt pins, and those are the ones I want to show off!:

Her cards are hand stamped and drawn, with the cutest alien robots! There are lots of different designs, but I fell in love with these two:

Alien Robot Love

Party Chicks

Aren't they super cute?

But, if we are talking cute, her hand-sewn felt pins are on the top of cuteness! She has a lot of animals, and even some Holiday-related ones, like a lil snowman and a gingerbread man!

I got greedy and got myself three:

Red panda

Giant panda

& Mr Penguin!

I thought of maybe sharing them, but I'm not sure if I can part with them, so maybe I'll just get more as gifts! ;)

Tomorrow I plan to take pics with natural light since there are no errands to run, and the cooking of Christmas dinner will be once the daylight is gone, by 6 pm over here. Hopefully, it'll mean another blog entry!
