Top 10 of 2015: Best Book Boyfriends of 2015!!

Once again I'm very happy to join one more year in the Top 10 of 2015 week hosted by Rachel from Reading YA Rocks, Jamie from Two Chicks On Books, Mindy from Magical Urban Fantasy Reads and Nancy of Tales of A Ravenous Reader.

Today we're gonna be talking about all those swoon-worthy guys we love! To make it slightly easier to pick and choose the guys must be from book published in 2015 that we've read in 2015!

Best Book Boyfriends of 2015

SmallvilleGuy from Lois Lane: Fall Out by Gwenda Bond - We only get to meet him through is IM conversations with Lois, but I simply loved what we saw of him and how much he cared for Lois.

Kaz from Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo - Oh dear Kaz... broken in many guys and quite the opposite of a nice guy, but I totally fell head over heels for him!!

Jason Moros from Fated by Sarah Fine - Oh boy, Jason Moros! A dangerous foe and dangerously sexy not-exactly-a-man... He wouldn't allow himself attachments, but when he does... when he does he doesn't give up and would go to hell for you!

Aedion from Queen of Shadows by Sarah J Maas - We finally get to meet Aedion properly and with his wit, sarcasm, Fae tendencies and cocky attitude, I was swooning even as I wanted to smack him in the head now and then!

Odysseus from Ungodly by Kendare Blake - I love this quick-witted, Goddess-loving rogue! He knew when to push and when to give Athena space, and I simply loved him!

Elias from An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir - Elias is trying to be true to himself, run away from the cruelty and bloodthirst of an Empire he never wanted part of and he can still kick arse in the process. A good guy in a bad situation for sure!

Reyes Alexander Farrow from Eighth Grave After Dark by Darynda Jones - Reyes is the son of Satan (like he really is, not a figure of speech) and he is the damned sexiest alpha male ever, even if he sometimes goes to the arsepha side...

Tobiah Pierce from The Orphan Queen by Jodi Meadows - I was undecided about Tobiah for a good part of the book, but then he really proved himself as a very much worthy book boyfriend!

Simon Wolfgard from Vision in Silver by Anne Bishop - This is one of those book boyfriends that you know are not a good idea, but you cannot help it! Simon is one of the others, a wolf that can take human shape and is learning to also be a mix of wolf and human that is simply fantastic!

James Mycroft from Every Word by Ellie Marney - Oh boy, Mycroft is the kind of brilliant and passionate and broken that always manages to draw me in! All the swoons!

Aaaaand one special mention as an extra for Kaidan Rowe! He's always been a big book boyfriend candidate but getting his POV in the last book of the series: Sweet Temptation has been just swoontastic! Thank you Wendy Higgins for that!

2014 Challenges Recap: How did I do?

Hello guys!

I am in a bit of a reading slump these days, even if I have a few really cool and interesting books started, I just cannot seem to hold my attention down to read them, or even find the motivation to get sucked into them... so I'm going to do a needed Challenges recap!

I joined a total of 5 challenges in 2014 and now it's time to see how well or how bad I did at them!

This is probably the challenge I failed more completely! I really haven't read many books from my TBR pile and I've kept on adding more and more! I am not signing up for this one again, because of my absolute failure and because I've already signed up for 4 2015 challenges!

I aimed for the First Kiss level (21-30 books) and I read a total of 10!! *hangs head in shame*

I joined the Classic YA & MG challenge later in the year, in June, but this one I've done rather well, I managed to read the 8 minimum of books to join the giveaway and I'll be joining again in 2015 because I love discovering books I missed in my tweens and also taking part in the monthly discussions of the #tmgreadalong

This one I almost failed because I started great, since I was in a BIG dystopian binge the first half of the year, but then after the summer I barely read any, got burned out a bit, but then in Nov and December I read the books I needed to reach the 24 books top level: Leader!

The Review Pile Reading Challenge was one that I thought I had failed but once I checked my GR list for it and my sign up post, I realized that I did much better than I was expecting! I had aimed for the Journeyman level (11-22 books) but I read over 40! So I ended up hitting the Adept level!

This one was a challenge that I was expecting to do very well, and I must say that I failed, maybe not completely and horribly badly, but I did fail! I completed some series that were not in my original list, and completed a few that were, but I did fail to complete 6 of the series I had in my list!! O_O

I have signed up for 4 challenges for 2015, and I might also join up the Dystopian challenge if Ula from Blog of Erised decides to do it again next year!

So guys, did you sign up for any challenges for 2014? How did you do? Are you signing up for any cool challenges for 2015? Tell me!!

Top 10 of 2014: Top 10 Books I'm Looking Forward in 2015!!

This year I'm very happy to once again join in the Top 10 of 2014 week hosted by Rachel from Reading YA Rocks, Jamie from Two Chicks On Books, Mindy from Magical Urban Fantasy Reads and Nancy of Tales of A Ravenous Reader.

For the final day of the Top 10 of 2014 week, we're sharing the top 10 books we're looking forward to in 2015. I'm gonna be making two lists, one for books in a series, sequels & final books since I have quite a few of those coming, and another for standalones and first books in a new series.

Top 10 Books I'm Looking Forward in 2015 (Sequels of ongoing series)

This list is still cut short cause there are so so many books I'm looking forward to next year that are next on a series, but I've only added those that have a cover and title revealed so far!

I haven't added those that I've already got my hands on an ARC and devoured them, like Polaris by Mindee Arnett, The Winner's Crime by Marie Rutkoski or Golden Son by Pierce Brown.

Neither I have here others that even if I'm dying to get my hands on them either don't have a title, or cover or both, like Throne of Glass #4 by Sarah J Maas, The Raven Cycle #4 by Maggie Stiefvater, The End of Days by Susan Ee, Public Enemies by Ann Aguirre, Gabriel by Nikki Kelly, Ungodly by Kendare Blake, Hidden Huntress by Danielle L Jensen, The Untimely Deaths of Alex Wayfare  by M. G. Buehrlen and Ice Like Fire by Sara Raasch!!

Top 10 Books I'm Looking Forward in 2015 (Standalones or First in a new series)

These ones are also a small example of some of the books I'm dying to read next year, also only the ones with a cover revealed so far!

Most of these I already have preorder and I'm dying to get them in the mail already!!

Top 10 of 2014: Best Book Boyfriends of 2014!!

This year I'm very happy to once again join in the Top 10 of 2014 week hosted by Rachel from Reading YA Rocks, Jamie from Two Chicks On Books, Mindy from Magical Urban Fantasy Reads and Nancy of Tales of A Ravenous Reader.

Today we're gonna be talking about all those swoon-worthy guys we love! To make it slightly easier to pick and choose the guys must be from book published in 2014 that we've read in 2014!

Best Book Boyfriends of 2014

Max from The Shape of My Heart by Ann Aguirre -  Max is a guy that has had a terrible past and has made bad choices but he has also picked himself up and is working hard to be the best man possible, he's sexy, tough but terribly sweet inside!

Ren from Wicked by Jennifer L Armentrout - He's a Fae hunter and a good one, he's witty and flirty and the right kind of adorable and irritable all at the same time. Quite a swoony one with his dimples this one!

Darrow from Red Rising by Pierce Brown -  Another complicated character our Darrow, fighting for the rebellion and trying to become a better man while staying on top of political intrigue and staying true to a lost love.

Rafa from Haze by Paula Weston - A rephaim (angel descendant) that is both irritating and seductive, with some adorable moments and in general another bad boy with gooey center.

Micah from The Art of Lainey by Paula Stokes - A punk rocker boy that bakes, what else do you need to know?? He's sweet, focused on being himself and trying to figure out how to deal with his father's death. I do clearly seem to have a type because he's another guy with issues that's got the tough exterior, sweet & soft inside.

Kiaran from The Falconer by Elizabeth May - Another complex guy that is not exactly as he seems. He's one of the Fae but he kills his own kind and trains Aileana to do the same and extract her revenge.

McKale from See Me by Wendy Higgins - Well, this guy is not brooding or a bad boy which is quite welcome change because boy do I seem to have a type! He's sweet and adorable and a lil awkward and a leprechaun!

Zeke from The Forever Song by Julie Kagawa - Zeke is a survivor but one that has not become jaded by a life on the run and that loves Allie even when she cannot love herself, and even in his darkest moments, he comes back because of her.

Arin from The Winner's Curse by Marie Rutkoski - Aaaand back to the tortured guys for me. Arin is a slave that is trying to fight for his people and falls for his owner. He's brooding but kind and can sing and that's one heart-melting thing for me.

Will from A Mad Wicked Folly by Sharon Biggs Waller - And for another change, another nice guy! Not only Will is a policeman, and you have to love a guy in a uniform, but he supports Vicky on her art and on her feminist campaigns and a guy that supports feminism is the sexiest of them all!

And now for cheating my own rules and because if I have to choose the one book boyfriend that I actually really got a proper crush on this year... Mr James Alexander Malcom McKenzie Fraser from Outlander by Diana Gabaldon!!!

Top 10 of 2014: Best Book Covers of 2014!!

This year I'm very happy to once again join in the Top 10 of 2014 week hosted by Rachel from Reading YA Rocks, Jamie from Two Chicks On Books, Mindy from Magical Urban Fantasy Reads and Nancy of Tales of A Ravenous Reader.

Today I'm gonna try my best to actually limit myself to just 10 book covers from all the gorgeous books released on 2014 that I've read. Once again it's gonna be very hard work, but I hope to do better than I did yesterday trying to choose my 10 Best Books (I failed miserably at that!).
