September is for Sequels Challenge by Lisa Loves Literature!!

Hello there again!

Today is the day for challenges it seems! Not only I have the recap for ARC August, but I'm also doing the sign up post for the September is for Sequels Challenge!

This is my third year signing up and I really hope I will do better than I did last year because to my shame and horror, some of the books that were in my original pile, STILL remaind unread, so I do hope to do much better this year and READ THEM ONCE AND FOR ALL!

If you want to know all about the challenge read Lisa's post HERE! But long story short, Lisa from Lisa Loves Literature has this challenge for the month of September where we go pay attention to all those poor ignored sequels of books we loved!

So there's my pile, rather ambitious this time, but I really hope I can finally finish some of those series, because I really loved the first book and I want to read the sequels and finish the series too! I hope having Mini-maug and Morrigan in charge this year, they'll keep me accountable!

The Rules For Breaking by Ashely Elston (#2 and final book)
Unravel by Imogen Howson (#2 and final book)
Altered by Gennifer Albin (#2 in the trilogy)
Unraveled by Gennifer Albin (#3 and final book)
Kinslayer by Jay Kristoff (#2 in the trilogy)
Endsinger by Jay Kristoff (#3 and final book)

Let's hope I reach the end of September with all or most of these read!

  1. This is such a great idea! I have so many sequels on my shelf that I just haven't picked up because I've been distracted by the start of a new series (I love first books in a series!), so I need to make time for something like this. GOOD LUCK PILI! Kick some sequel ass:)

  3. I had no idea this challenge existed!! It sounds like such a good way to cut down on all of those sequels everyone tends to forget about.... (I AM GUILTY OF THIS TOO)

I hope you manage to read all of these books in September, Pili! :D GOOD LUCK AND MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!

    2. I had to cut back my goal for this year as I know I'll be out of town at the end of September. But would love it if I was able to meet the same as last year! Good luck!

  5. Why does Endsinger sound so familiar to me? Sorry it has taken me so long to comment on your posts, but Fhkeindle, the Kindle demon, has decided that commenting on Blogger blogs is not okay anymore, so I have to wait until I am on my laptop to talk to all of my lovely fellow Blogger users. I am going to work on getting all of the Maguire Oz books read. I managed to get deals on the first two in audiobooks, and I bought the ebook of Out of Oz for $!.99 last week. I hope I can find a good deal on A Lion Among Men. I might end up reading that one as a physical copy because I am going to be buying the series in HC from book outlet as they have them, and I think I am buying it in my next order. Did you read the other ones? I was wondering if it would matter if I read A Lion Among Men out of order. I would join this challenge, but the host thinks I am rude. Heh.

    1. Endsinger is the final book in The Lotus War by Jay Kristoff, the first book is Stormdancer...
I want the B&N edition of Wicked + Son of a Witch... maybe next time I visit the US! Book Outlet international shipping is insane!
