Feature Friday: Fabulously Fierce Home Decor!

It is Friday, and this time I am as happy as the rest of the office hours people, cause I have the weekend off!

Today I'm gonna be featuring a crafter & shop that I've featured more than once in my blog, Kylie from Fabulously Fierce & Willow Goose, and this time it'll be to share with you something she has recently added to her Home Decor shop, embroidered towels!

After recently purchasing an embroidery machine, she started adding this amazing bath & kitchen towels to her Etsy shop, so even if it's gonna be a while till I'll have a place to call my own where I'll need them, I decided to grab a couple sets of each type!

Kylie hold onto them and only shipped them so they'd arrive once I was back from my vacation, and so, they arrived today! I was so excited that before stashing them safely to wait for when they'll be needed for my own place, I took some pics of them so I could show them off!

I got a set of bath towels with Edgar Allan Poe & the Raven embroidered that are absolutely awesome! Since the towels are white, they'd look great with any bathroom, except a too white one.

And I also got a set of Alice In Wonderland themed kitchen towels, and they are also amazing! I love them, and they looked pretty awesome on my mum's kitchen, and since they have a neutral colour, they'd also match any kitchen colours!

Right now Kylie doesn't have these embroidery designs up for sale in the shop, but she has another Alice in Wonderland set, and some awesome Skully Chef kitchen towels that you really need to check out! ;)

Wearing Handmade Wednesday: Resa Smith!

Getting back into the blogging groove, and showing off more of my handmade goodies, cause not blogging doesn't mean that I haven't been buying or wearing handmade, quite the contrary, since for almost everything, handmade is my first choice!

For my first Wearing Handmade Wednesday after my hiatus, I wanna show off one of my two Resa Smith dresses.

Showing off my improving chopstick skills and my Resa Smith dress

Group shot at Bardays' Inn in Goa

I'm more of a jeans and a t-shirt kinda girl, but some dresses are just too gorgeous (and comfy) to just pass up, and that's what happens with Resa Smith's maxi dresses! I fell in love with this dress as soon as I saw it in her Etsy shop! All the dresses are very much unique, going from limited edition dresses to one of a kind. And they are just fantastic pieces, with a wonderful attention to detail, till the very last stitch! Both her Etsy shop and her website shop are closed for now, but will reopen at the beginning of June, with new maxi and mini dresses, and I just can't wait to see them!

The Road Goes Ever On And On...

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.

Now far ahead the Road has gone,

And I must follow, if I can,

Pursuing it with eager feet,

Until it joins some larger way

Where many paths and errands meet.

And whither then? I cannot say.

Life does take us down very winding paths, even if some of them are only in our mind, and even if sometimes we just amble along and others drag ourselves on, there's always a time to pick ourselves up and continue on our path, hopefully not forgetting that the important thing is the journey and not the destination.

Finally, after an hiatus due to lack of motivation, probably a mix of being burnt out with work, the loss of my precious puppy Canela and the agony of being apart from the love of my life, I'm back to blogging. To avoid being overwhelmed, you push back strong emotions to go on with your life, with going to work, with spending time with your friends, cause I you let them take you, you just can't function right... but that takes a toll on you, and that toll is usually that spring in your step and that will to write, to share and to capture the beauty of life. I needed some time off, and my vacation to spend time with the bf was exactly what I needed. Plenty of time to think, to relax, to read, to cry, to look in the eyes of love... in short, time to pick myself up, and get myself on the road, back to writing, back to shooting and back to facing the world and my own chosen journey.

Laugh, Love and above all, Live.

Happy St Patrick's Day!!

Happy St Patrick's Day everyone!

I'm still taking a little break from blogging, cause I've been rather unmotivated to blog as of late, so I'm taking a pair of weeks off so to speak, hopefully with the excitement of my trip to see the bf my motivation will return soon.

But since I'm a huge lover of everything Irish, I just wanted to wish you all a Happy St Patrick's Day, to remind you of wearing green today, and to have a (green) beer for me, since I have to work today.

I leave you all with some traditional Irish music played by The Corrs! Erin Go Bragh!

Friday's Photography Gear!

While I enjoy a lovely Vanilla Latte Macchiato, I want to show off my latest piece of handmade stash for my photography gear!

After Gaurav got me a Lensbaby for my birthday, I knew I needed a new pouch to protect it, and as I did with my other lenses, I knew it'd be a MsChrista's lens cozy!

Christa is a real dear, cause she always keeps some of my favourite fabric aside to make my lens cozies all to match!

And this time, she also made me a super cute matching pouch to carry my charger, lenspen, extra cards and spare batteries all together!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Wordless Wednesday

This week I was not inspired enough to work on a Wearing Handmade Wednesday, and wanted just to dedicate this blog entry to my lil puppy Cinnamon, that is missing since last Saturday. She disappeared around the cottage my parents have in a small village in Guadalajara. Please keep your fingers crossed for us, so she is found or she comes back home.

Shopping Handmade: Náyade's birthday!

Happy Friday everyone!

Even if I have to work Saturday night shift, I'm feeling like I'm getting half a weekend off, even if I'm debating whether to take a nap or have a nice coffee! Maybe both?

Yesterday I met up with my friends from uni, since Náyade (the one living in Italy) was visiting and it had been her b-day on the 22nd, so we had to celebrate her b-day!

We met up over drinks and tapas, basking in the nice February sun, and enjoying having a lost spring day to enjoy in the outside tables of the pub we were at! As usual, we chatted, we laughed and we had a brilliant time! And of course, I took loads of pics!

All my present for Náyade were handmade, and she loved them all! First of all, since both Pilu and Náyade liked the lil nurse I got for Esther, I asked Camamiel's Ana to create a lovely adorable custom nurse for Náyade too, and as always, Ana created the perfect doll! Náyade loved her, and now Pilu is asking for a doll, too! She'll just have to wait for her b-day in October, though ;)

I also put together a lil care baggie for Náyade with a Green Tea soap from Sweet Petula, the awesome happy feet Peppermint cream from Right As Rain Creations and a sample size body lotion from Body Language Soaps! And you only have to read Náyade's body language to see she was happy with the gifts! ;)

Last but not least, a birthday is not a proper birthday without a birthday card! And my handmade route always goes through On Cupcake Moon, since Deb was so awesome as to make me b-day cards in Spanish, and to add the final touch, a lil stamping done with my cupcake stamp from Skull And CrossBuns!

I leave you with a toast to friendship and sunny days! Esther says: Have a tinto de verano with us! ;)
